Exotic invasive plants are particularly easy to spot during autumn and winter – they’re usually the only plants that are still green! @weedwrangle #weedwrangle #weedwranglewhitehouse #discoverwhitehouse #mywhitehousetn #whitehousetn

The forested area along our White House Community Greenway is a prime example of what has happened to forests all across Eastern North America. Our greenway forest was once part of a much larger system that was rich in biodiversity. However, conversion to agricultural fields and development has shrunk our forest to what we see today. Now a former shadow of itself, there are glimpses of its abundant botanical past. Although many wildflowers remain, these delicate jewels are threatened by the onslaught of exotic invasive plants. Our desire at Weed Wrangle® – White House is to protect our native wildflowers from the robust weeds killing our community’s natural heritage.
